Michael & Ashlee - 11.9.2013

One word - WIND!!!! Wow! We had some serious wind going on the day of Michael and Ashlee's wedding. Typically, wind is a BIG disadvantage when it comes to photo sessions. If we have extremely windy days (we're talking 25 MPH +) I usually give my clients (especially the ladies) the option to postpone, mainly for the sake of their hair! But, you can't exactly postpone a wedding, so we pulled some tricks out of our hats, braved the chilly, gusty conditions and, as you'll see, we got some SPECTACULAR photos! Bring it on, Mother Nature ;)

Michael and Ashlee had a beautiful ceremony and kick-butt reception! I'm a sucker for anything rustic, and that was exactly the themed they went with. Izaak Walton Lodge is one of my favorite reception location, simply because it is set back in the woods and provides a wonderful, warm, homey, rustic feel. That, topped with some awesome handmade signs and decor and you have the finishing touches for a perfect day!
