Josh & Erin - Engagement Sessions

It's safe to say photographers have a love/hate relationship with meteorologists. Josh, Erin and I had spent probably about a good month trying to plan their Engagement session. Josh has a pretty hectic work schedule, so after going back and forth with a few different dates, we finally settled for a perfect 80 degree and sunny Friday evening. That is, until two days before the shoot when they started calling for chances of rain.

The day of the shoot, it looked like we were going to be washed out and possibly dealing with storms. The meteorologist kept predicting rain for the exact time our session was scheduled for, so I made a judgement call to try to meet just for a few quick pictures because I know Erin is running out of time for Save The Date Cards. If it rained, we would just postpone all together. But all I needed was 5 minutes just to get some quick shots in and boy, did I get that...and then some.

Except for a few dark clouds, it never rained. It never even spit one little drop on us. And, here's the best part - on my way home, I could see the sun coming out. Yeah. Completely clearing up. Go figure, right?

A few weeks later, we met up for the full blown session, which was wonderful, peaceful and captured Josh and Erin the way they are.
