I am so incredibly thankful our team was able to document Nic and Kelli's wedding on June 10th. 

When I worked at our local newspaper as a Sports Editor, I had a chance to follow Kelli during her high school career, where she was a standout softball player. I absolutely loved to watch her and her sister play ball, and enjoyed chit-chatting with the girls' father along the outfield fence lines. Sadly, Kelli's dad is not with us today, but they included him in every little detail of the wedding day. A few moments were very emotional, but I admire the strength of Kelli and her entire family because the smiles were always present, as was the laughter.

Shortly before the ceremony, the Best Man - who is also the groom's brother - had a slight accident and ended up missing the ceremony and part of the reception. A few of the photos below reflect his absence (just in case you were thrown off by the missing gap in some of the photos!). He was able to make it back to the celebration around 9 p.m., give his Best Man speech and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Nic and Kelli are one-of-a-kind. It was such an honor to spend this day with them. It's a wedding I will enjoy reliving for many years to come.
