Heather - 2012 senior
Gorgeous, amazing style, wonderful personality, totally awesome mother and an absolutely wonderful day! From Heather's to-die-for outfits, to the locations we discovered, to those wonderfulllllllll blue eyes! This session was perfect in all aspects.
We shot around the back roads of Benton Harbor, which was like a small history tour in itself. OI enjoyed hearing Heather's mothers stories of what some of the buildings use to be, as well as their own personal stories along the way.
Heather and Wendy, thank you for allowing me to capture this wonderful monument in your lives. I wish you both nothing but the best and I hop our paths cross again in the near future!
These first four shots were taken at an old, abandon greenhouse. Awesome!!!!!!!
Then we ventured down the road and found an old farmhouse. It was vacant, but there were still some cool bushes.
And this fabulous old worker's home (I know that's not the right name for it, but I can't remember what it was called!) Heather's mom told me the farm workers use to pile their entire family's in these small, two room houses. Crazy!!
Inside the house! She wasn't joking when she said two rooms....and living room and one bedroom. No kitchen, no bathroom. I couldn't even imagine, but I admire the people who tried to make a living for their family.
Time for an outfit change and a new location! Believe it or not, these next few shots were done in a cemetery. It's the only place we could find colored leaves still on the trees. Hey, there's no place I won't shoot at :)
And the final stop was just an open field off the highway.
And how cool that the barn completely matched her outfit. This day was meant to be :)
