Josh and Erin are married!

One thing I absolutely love about wedding photography is how involved I get to be in the planning of my B&G's big day. You see, wedding photographer's are more than just people who show up with big spiffy cameras. What we do behind the scenes with the B&G's often goes unnoticed, and our role in their entire day is one of the biggest, most stressful, yet most rewarding tasks of any vendor.

In my case, I typically have my first meeting with my B&G's a year or more before their wedding. And in that time frame, we are in contact almost weekly. Here is a quick summary of a few of the things I help almost all of my B&G;'s with, and I know Erin and Josh will attest to this...

- Plan and prepare for the Engagement Session
- Create the actual timeline for the Wedding day
- Contact other vendors involved with the day to get their schedules
- Answer any and all questions from the B&G regarding a variety of topics (table settings, colors, hair styles, song choices, cake flavors..etc)

And that's just the preparation before the big day. On the day of, I do everything from carry the train for the bride, to apply lip gloss, hairspray and deodorant, make sure everyone is dressed on time and ready to rock and roll...and a slew of other tasks.

In a nutshell, I am pretty much a wedding planner! And I love it.

With Josh and Erin, this was no exception, I worked side by side with Erin for over a year before her Wedding day and I was honestly a bit sad as her day approached because I knew the relationship we formed during that time frame was coming to an end. I hope none of my other bride's take this the wrong way, but Erin truly was the ideal bride! She asked all of the right questions, had things planned well in advance and, most importantly, she never questioned any of my decisions or suggestions and 100% trusted me. That is HUGE for us as wedding photographers! And having a wonderful working relationship (and friendship) makes a world of difference on the actual wedding day.
Alright, alright...on with the show!!!
